JERAKEEN kommen aus Hamburg. Die 2016 gegründete Band spielt intrumentalen-Postrock der strukturierten Sorte á la Caspian oder Explosions in the Sky und klingt dabei doch sehr eigen.

Trotz der Tatsache, dass die Band sehr jung ist, konnte JERAKEEN einige Erfolge erzielen. So vertonten sie eine Dokumentation des NDR und nahmen die dazugehörige Musik in Form ihrer Debüt EP 'SHORELINES' auf, die vom ‚Visions Magazine‘ als Demo des Monats ausgezeichnet wurde. Derweil arbeiten die Vier an ihrer ersten Platte.

A new East Berlin based 4-piece with members from Denmark, Italy and England. The krautrock inspired introduction “From Under the Cloud” shared in December ’14 set the bar for what would follow; a swaying wall of brash intensity, energy and melody. Second track, the fizzier “Glimpses” was accompanied by their first official video in the summer, recently followed up by the dark and expansive “Haunt You”. A monster six track EP to be named “How Far, Are You Out There?” was recorded in August ‘15, taking their live sound into the studio and showing how swiftly the band has evolved into playing their own strain of conscious dream punk and brutal doomy shoegaze.
