16:00	Live oddJoB Jazz for kids After their Eastwood album 'Clint' the Swedish band led by trumpeter Goran Kajfes (Subtropic Arkestra, Neneh Cherry ) took a break and reported back in 2013 with the album 'Jazzoo'. If you think of Zoo, you’re right, but wrong, however, if you associate this with 'for kids only'. Oddjob play a special concert for the little ones on top of their regular appearance at ELBJAZZ, and that also offers – for adults as well – what the band is well known for: exciting Soul-Jazz . Now the superdrummer, who has played with Wynton Marsalis, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, Carl Craig or Q-Tip, brings the emotional Spiritual-Jazz of „Transcendence“ to Hamburg for the first time. ELBJAZZ shows the documentary feature about Jaimeo and his Jazz-Gospel – even before it hits film-feativals. Das Debütalbum von Jaimeo Brown fand sich 2013 weltweit auf allen Jazz-Favoritenlisten. Jetzt bringt der Superdrummer aus New York, der u.a. mit Wynton Marsalis, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, Carl Craig oder Q-Tip spielte, den emotionalen Spiritual-Jazz von „Transcendence“ erstmals an die Elbe. This makes the Canadian singer a favourite of Gilles Peterson and his „Worldwide“audience, who voted her debut as a favourite, as well as of Branford Marsalis, Jamie Cullum or Herbie Hancock’s favourite guitarist Lionel Loueke. The latter plays on her new album „The Signal Shepherd“, which she debuts at ELBJAZZ, with a little help from London’s legendary JazzCotech dancers. 22:00	Live Pink Freud The TV-station arte discovered them in 2007, even Asia a few years ago, and in Poland the four from Gdansk are favourites anyway. Now listeners on the Elbe will finally find out, whether or not the wild mix of Jazz and Punk, Rock and Folk has anything to do with the two highly similar namesakes of this band. Drum’n’Bass, Jungle, Dub: No wonder an album by these rascals was called „Sorry Music Polska“. What this trio delivered in front of a late-night audience in 2012 absolutely calls for a sequel: Even die-hard Jazz-fans were moved to ecstatic reactions by the House beats, Electro Jazz and Funk by these Groove-Experts from Berlin, admitting to „occasionally liking techno quite a bit“. Was die nämlich 2012 beim spätnächtlichen Publikum angerichtet hat, schreit geradezu nach einer Wiederholung: Selbst ausgesprochene Jazzfans wurden von den Groove-Spezialisten aus Berlin mit Housebeats, Elektrojazz und Funk derart in Ekstase versetzt, dass sie meinten, sie würden „manchmal Techno doch ganz gern mögen“. 2400
