JAGWA MUSIC (tansania)

une gruoup percussionistes en passant pour le WOMAD:
JAWGA MUSIC presents: BONGO HOTHEADS

'It's a massively dense, fast, and quite overpowering record but if you’re hankering for something with the intensity of (say) ATARI TEENAGE RIOT raised in TANZANIA, this'll do you handsome, sunshine.' KEV NICKELL's in FREQ.ORG.UK

the sensational JAGWA MUSIC are an equally crazy and dynamic high-speed band directly from the streets of TANZANIA's most vivid city DAR ES SALAAM. a cheap hand-held CASIO keyboard, a set of very basic percussion instruments including a haywire stool and two megaphones - it needs nothing more to kill audiences with antsy 180+ BPM beats. while so far he has mostly performed in the backyards of his hometown, singer JACKIE KAZIMOTO is pure superstar material - an awe-inspiring performer made for the big stage. after having released quite a few cassettes for the local, african market while the last 10 or 15 years already, the band brought out their international debut BONGO HOTHEADS last year on BELGIUM's mighty CRAMMED DISCS to much critical acclaim. in summer 2013 they are supposed to discharge more madness on the european festival stages - with a gig at the UK's leading world music event, WOMAD, already confirmed.
