You can never underestimate a good guitar riff and a great sounding interaction between four young, energetic guys. That being said, Rated R isn't just another rock band in this pop-sounding world of ours. It's a band, long-time coming from a common urge to create a somewhat heavier-sounding rock music, without people automatically defining it as exclusive and unapproachable. 'Cause heavy guitars, garage drums and a funk-based bass can sound pretty melodic. The sound is influenced by both 70's and early 90's alternative hard rock scene, including elements from garage, punk and even Balkan music. The music should be played and listened to loudly (if possible), because that way you get the best idea of what this band sounds like live - not allowing you to stand still, you quickly recognize the melody and beat. Rated R being original and playful, you as a listener simply cannot deny and resist its instant rock star quality.
