OK WAIT spielen mit instrumentaler Musik. Das Trio baut aus verschiedensten Einflüssen seinen Anspruch, wortlose Musik Neues sagen zu lassen. Auf dem Debutalbum WELL und live äußern sich OK WAIT ernst, ehrlich, brachial und brüchig. Assoziationen: Noise Rock, Post Rock, Post Metal.

Die Hamburger Band ging 2021 aus der Vorgängerband Sonic Black Holes hervor – mit Michel Jahn (git), Florian Zeh (bs) und Lutz Möllmann (dr).

Das Debutalbum WELL entstand im ersten Pandemiejahr in Eigenproduktion. Das über 50-minütige Werk aus fünf Stücken wurde gemastert von Cult of Luna’s Magnus Lindberg. Erschienen ist WELL am 1. April 2022 bei Golden Antenna Records als Doppel-LP in 3 Farbvarianten, als CD und als digitaler Release.

Surfing the wavelengths between loud and massive, based on abstract tales and objects. zeug create dreamy soundscapes of sublime inner beauty and nightmarish mayhem. Zeug praises freedom of expression and power of improvisation, trying to involve not only the artists around, but also the places, the spirit of a moment and the whole context. How exactly all these factors correspond with each other is still unknown for the bandmembers – thus, the space for interpretation and perception of this music remains almost boundless for the listener.

After their 2nd EP 'Grounded', zeug are back with the new one 'Womb' in the Autumn 2021, which was recorded inside of the big Wasserspeicher in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
