HIDE are Heather Gabel & Seth Sheran, an electronic duo based in Chicago. The pair create dark and heavy sample-based compositions using a combination of self-sourced field recordings and various pop culture and media references. Their music is textured, minimal, and powerful, giving raw vulnerability an opportunity to unfurl. Their work is honest, confrontational, powerful and thought-provoking.

A decibel-crushing, politically charged grindcore-punk device in the mid-Michigan college city of Mt. Pleasant, Cloud Rat evokes the fevered, speedy assault strike of genre heavies like Pig Destroyer, Brutal Truth, and Agoraphobic Nosebleed. Produced this year 2010 throughout the primary trio of frontwoman Madison Marshall, guitarist Rorik Brooks, and drummer Adrian Manges, the music group cites anti-oppression, anti-discrimination, veganism, radical feminism, anarchism, paganism, and “various other relevant-isms” aswell springs of motivation, and stick to a strictly noncorporate D.I.Con. method of gigging, documenting, and liberating music. Since arriving together this year 2010, the music group has released a bevy of break up 7″s, cassettes, and LPs, including 2013’s Moksha and 2015’s critically acclaimed Qliphoth, the second option which was the 1st recording to feature the abrasive consumer electronics of newest Cloud Rat member Brandon Hill.
