Dear Deer is a band formed in 2015, consisting of Federico Iovino (Popoi Sdioh) and Sabatel (Cheshire Cat). This duo mixing post-punk, industrial and nowave appears live for the first time in Lille at 'Des Jeunes Gens Mödernes II' event in April 2015. After the release of a few demo tracks recorded in 2015, the band performed live in France, Belgium and Poland with such bands as The Kvb, Savage Republic or Guerre Froide. This dynamic year gave birth to the album 'Oh My ...' (release date October 1st, 2016 - vinyl and CD on Manic Depression / Swiss Dark Night). . Initially a one-off performance act combining visual arts and found-sound, The Wheal has evolved into a full-fledged music project whose lineage traces back to early 80's industrial and synth-pop bands as well as modern day electronics.

From heavy drum-machine and synthetic bass-lines to ritual/ambient sequences, The Wheal's dark romanticism is equal parts channeling live energies and blissfull introspection.
