»Dear Diar Friends,
We believe, that our “Existing” and being present in the diaspora is our only hope and duty on the long run.

Staying home and putting our lives on hold is not the answer, but coming together in such times is a much better way towards staying sane.

We want our next Gig on the 16. December on MS Stubnitz to be an attempt to exist. All together with our music in a safe(r) space:

For the second time in Hamburg and at DIARFEST: the one and only Saliah from Lebanon/UK together with DJ/Producer ipek from Türkiye/DE.

% of Profits from this event will go to Save the Children* and to Human Rights Watch**

This event will be hosted mainly for friends and friends of friends, for tickets please contact us via Instagram or via email: diarfest@gmail.com

No Tolerance for Hate, Homophobia, Racism, Anti-arabism and Anti-semitism.

As always: great Arak options will be available during the night provided by our beloved friends in Enab Berlin.

Many thanks for the MS Stubnitz Team for being a great part of this gig and for giving us a special space to exist. We feel for our people and we stand with all the oppressed in our countries and worldwide.«

IEPK is based in Berlin; DJ, producer, curator, queer-activist, Ipek is regarded as one of the most popular and diverse DJs of the Berlin club scenes.

Inspired by her passion for music from Anatolia & the Middle East and for genre-hopping dance, her „EthnikFolkElektronikMix“sets provides surprising breaks to the steady course of club music today.
Psychedelic Turkish funk meets Disco, Balkan to Minimal, AnatolianFolk to Deep House, Armenian Halay to Electro, Kurdish Gowend 2 Moombahton, from Dabke to Reaggaton, Iranian Bandari to Techno. Her sound is free of conventions, and it refuses to be limited by style, tempo or genres. Her electronic „MidEast’Elektro’’ sets, Ipek creates an extraordinary warm, dynamic interpretation of electronic music from deep house to Techno melted with the melodramatic sound of Anatolia, and Mesopotamia. Ipek has been pushing boundaries within the ethnic and electronic music scene for more than two decades.
