live! Squartet & live! Testadeporcu
Squartet is a three-piece instrumental band formed in May 2004, from two experienced noise-jazzcore bands from Rome. Born from punk, corrupted by funk, de-evolved into noise, with a taste for be-bop, Squartets music is better served live, at high volume, so that your nerves are tensed and relaxed alternately.
Since the beginning Squartet has been touring in Italy and near European
countries, spreading around its ironic and catching up live set; sung parts are missing and replaced by schizophrenic, restless guitar lines. Influences can be found in the '90s, from Ruins, Mr. Bungle, Naked City, NoMeansNo, from the '80s, The Residents, Fred Frith's Massacre, Snakefinger, back to Zappa's experimental music. After 9 months of live activity, Squartet's full-length album has been released by its own label, Jazzcore Inc, available at www.jazzcoreinc.org
TESTADEPORCU is a bass/vocals&drums duo, formed by two experienced musicians, Diego D'Agata (bass on Splatterpink) and Claudio Trotta (drums on Deus Ex Machina) who play a mixture of noise, jazzcore, hardcore, acid screamed funk, experimental rock: punkcontemporary music. Their new album, "Acciaiu", has been released last winter from their label, Jazzcore Inc.
